About
By renandakiadventuresGreetings from Ren and Aki Adventures, Inc.!
Ren and Aki are a mother-daughter team of playful human-beings who encourage better living through the art of outdoor play. Join us on our adventures as we better learn this fine art and live the dream of life unfolding.
I am an outdoor education facilitator and Akira is my best little sidekick.
Several years ago, after a yearlong internship at the Great Plains Nature Center in Wichita, Kansas guiding groups of all ages on a journey through habitat awareness programs and environmental education, I finally knew “what I wanted to be when I grow up”: An Outdoor Education Facilitator for children and adults alike.
With this knowledge, I made the decision to move myself and my horse to the Front Range of beautiful Colorado and begin a life here. As fate would have it, Boulder county became my home.
My great uncle Joeseph Mann built a cabin in the woods of Allenspark over 75 years ago and I’ve been visiting this rustic little family cabin in since I was a young child. Perhaps it was in my genetic makeup to end up here and start a life. Either way, it seems the mountains and their people have influenced me to this degree because just a little over one year ago I and my life-partner and best friend, Tiger Eugene, brought our daughter Akira Impala Mann into the world on October 23rd.
Her name is Japanese in origin though the literal translation is ‘Joe’ and also means ‘bright child’. She IS much of what her name says and more, thus the family legacy continues.
Happy adventuring to you and yours! We look forward to sharing one with you soon!
